Duramin 160

Semi-automated Vickers / Knoop micro-hardness tester, 10 gf to 1 kgf load range, motorised XY stage for efficient specimen testing.

The Duramin 160 is a semi-automated Vickers (HV) and Knoop (HK) micro-hardness tester with a test force range of 10 gf to 1 kgf. A motorised XY stage enables automatic multi-point hardness mapping and line scanning. A built-in camera and measurement software automate indentation recognition and hardness calculation, reducing operator dependence and ensuring consistent test results across laboratories.

Key Features

  • Supports HV and HK Vickers and Knoop micro-hardness test methods
  • Test force range 10 gf to 1 kgf (0.098 N to 9.807 N)
  • Semi-automated motorised XY stage for multi-point automatic testing
  • Built-in camera with automatic indentation recognition software
  • Automatic hardness calculation and results recording
  • Programmable test patterns — line, grid, custom sequences
  • Compliant with international hardness testing standards (ISO / ASTM)

Applications

  • Micro-hardness measurement of metal cross-sections and welds
  • Hardness profiling across heat-affected zones
